Job Responsibilities

  • Configuration and Deployment: Implement and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in Azure cloud environment using tools like Azure Purview.
  • Data Quality Management: Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to define and enforce data quality standards, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes.
  • Metadata Management: Establish and maintain metadata repositories to facilitate data discovery, lineage, and impact analysis.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards, and implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential data governance issues and develop strategies to address them proactively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data governance requirements and drive alignment on implementation strategies.
  • Documentation and Training: Create documentation, guidelines, and training materials to educate users on data governance policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance, and recommend enhancements to existing processes and tools.
  • Auditing: Perform regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with data governance policies.
  • Incident management: Troubleshoot data governance issues and recommend solutions to enhance data quality and security.


  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Purview, Azure Databricks, and Profisee Master Data Management.
  • Proficiency in configuring and deploying data governance solutions in Azure cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, IBM InfoSphere, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data governance issues.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Azure services and infrastructure.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, SQL, PowerShell, or similar.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in data governance and data management domain with a strong understanding of best practices and international standards
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools for predictive analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
